Jardins du Château de la Ballue

Description :

The Château de La Ballue and its magnificent gardens nestle in the Couesnon Valley at Bazouges-la-Pérouse, between Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel. The award-winning gardens, of Italian baroque inspiration, are laid out in terraces in front of the Louis XIII château in the form of an amusing maze with 13 ‘outdoor rooms’ featuring remarkable examples of the art of topiary, interspersed with contemporary sculptures. Visitors can round off their tour in the tea rooms and shop. A brochure especially for children is available. The chateau is the venue for regular events including classical music concerts, a contemporary dance festival and a weekend devoted to ‘The Art of Topiary’ at the end of May.
