The main bridleways in Ille‑et‑Vilaine

Ille-et-Vilaine is not the Far West… but there are many major bridleways throughout the department. Take the horse-riding loops in the forests of Rennes and Brocéliande, or the “Patrimoine à cheval” circuit in the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. And if you fancy an adventure, set off on the Équibreizh routes for an outing lasting several days.

“Patrimoine à Cheval” in the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel

Named “Horse and Heritage”, this circuit connects the Rance Valley with Mont-Saint-Michel and Granville.

On the programme: 156 km of horseback routes and 78 km of harness routes to cover a variety of landscapes between sea, polders and marshes, but not only… The route is studded with heritage sites, leisure facilities and restaurants for the rider’s pleasure. The accommodation options provide the possibility to have a base or to travel from site to site over 2 to 4 days.

No horse? Many local horse-riding centres propose outings for beginners.
